The Career & Graduate School Insight Sessions (CGSIS) is a program exclusively for incoming transfer students. Through this uniquely crafted experience, the Transfer Class of 2027 will gain a stronger understanding of post-undergraduate career and graduate-level opportunities. New students will learn about resources from Berkeley Career Engagement, followed by breakout presentations from a variety of Bay Area companies and graduate school programs at Cal. Industries include but are not limited to commercial consulting, data science, engineering, early childhood education. Students have the opportunity to attend two different sessions based on their interests. Breakout sessions are hosted in classrooms across campus are first-come, first serve and not contingent on major.
Each 45 minute session consists of an introduction to the company or graduate program, its respective industry, day in the life and overview of positions within the office, Q&A regarding transitions into the working world and advice for current students. More information will be provided during GBO.
