The Transfer Student Symposium is a program exclusively for incoming transfer students. Through this uniquely crafted experience, the Class of 2026 will gain a stronger understanding of post-undergraduate career and graduate-level opportunities. New students will learn about resources from Berkeley Career Engagement, followed by breakout presentations from a variety of Bay Area companies and campus partners. Industries include but are not limited to commercial consulting, data science, engineering, early childhood education. Students have the opportunity to attend two different sessions based on their interests. Sessions are hosted in classrooms across campus are first-come, first serve and not contingent on major.
Each 45 minute session consists of an introduction to the company or campus partner, its respective industry, day in the life and overview of positions within the office, Q&A regarding transitions into the working world and advice for current students. More information will be provided during GBO.
