Alvin joined the New Student Services as the Orientation Graduate Assistant in August 2024! He majored in Economics and specialized in Data Analytics and Economic Analysis at the University of California, Davis. He grew up in Oakland, CA, and has returned to the Bay Area to pursue his Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of San Francisco. As an undergraduate, his involvement in orientation motivated him to explore student life, and served in the inaugural cabinet of student leaders for the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs. Additionally, he brings experience from university extension programs, K-12 non-profits, and commercial banking. In his spare time, he can be found trying new foods, swimming, volleyball, or video games.
