We're here to help.

A warm welcome to UC Berkeley. The New Student Services' mission is to give each student the support and resources needed for a successful transition to the Berkeley campus: academically, socially, emotionally, and culturally.

Here you’ll find a guide through the overall Golden Bear Experience, which consists of four major components: Golden Bear Advising and Golden Bear Prep (both completed online, before you arrive) and Golden Bear Orientation and Getting Your Bearings (in-person programs, completed once you're here).

Whether you are an incoming undergraduate first-year or a transfer student, please take the time to read through the information here. Your transition to Berkeley begins online in the summer as soon as you SIR. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our staff is here to answer your questions and offer advice.
