Golden Bear Orientation
After Move-In, you'll participate in a host of events to settle you into your new home, starting with Golden Bear Orientation. Note: You don't need to register.
Golden Bear Orientation is a mandatory, weeklong program for new undergraduates that helps you:
- make connections to your peers, faculty, and staff
- learn more about available resources and experience campus traditions
- broaden your understanding of this diverse and dynamic community
- create a sense of community with your orientation group and trained Golden Bear Orientation Leaders
Golden Bear Orientation starts on campus in August for fall and January for spring. (See Dates & Deadlines for specific details.) You'll be assigned your own group and trained student Golden Bear Orientation Leader and given your unique, personalized schedule once you arrive on campus. (For an idea about what orientation looks like, see our Sample Schedule. (Here is one for January: Sample Schedule for January.)
