Juan Chihuahua (he/him) is will be our new Graduate Assistant for Orientation in August 2022! Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, he now lives in San Francisco, CA and will be pursuing his Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs this fall. He is an alumnus of UC Berkeley, graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies. He navigated Cal as a first-generation, low-income, queer student of color and was heavily involved with campus organizations such as bridges, the Multicultural Community Center (MCC), and the Queer Alliance Resource Center (QARC). He is excited to bring back to Cal his knowledge and experiences to help and guide student leaders in New Student Services and provide a welcoming experience to incoming students! In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his cat, Mew and exploring the Bay Area. He is a Gemini as well!
