Graduate Assistant |
Marlene will be joining the New Student Services as a Graduate Assistant in August 2026. She majored in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at California State University, Long Beach. Originally from Williams, Ca, a small rural farming town up north, she now lives in the San Francisco where she is pursuing a Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of San Francisco. As an undergraduate, she had the opportunity to be apart of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Mentoring, Advising, and Placement Support (MAPS), and the Dream Success Center. Her time spent in equity programs and resource centers solidified her passion for working with students in higher education. In her spare time, you can find her laughing with friends, listening to music, or enjoying the outdoors. Sometimes she’ll be doing all three.
